Ho Ho Ho

Wow..It's that time of year again. Christmas is here. Well at least in Europe (Merry Christmas Dad!)..we still have a few hours :)

Before I get long-winded..If that's possible..

Merry Christmas!!

The last two Christmas seasons I was in the middle of the retail world working at a toy store that survived because of Christmas. I have to admit that it's nice not being there anymore at this time of year. I actually had today, Christmas eve, off..and I don't have to be back to work, four hours from Charleston, tomorrow night at midnight. As a matter of fact, I have the rest of the week off :).

It's weird that every year, Christmas gets less and less exciting to me..I'm not sure why. It just doesn't feel like Christmas. I don't think the fact that it's 60 degrees outside at 9 pm helps much. It's supposed to be COLD. I'm not sure what Christmas is supposed to be like anymore..I just know that I'm not feeling it..This is a depressive paragraph..I need to stop..

Last weekend I (yes, boring me) went to two Christmas parties. Friday night, George and Eric (my two bosses) took everyone out to Outback. It was very cool..everyone was able to make it, which was nice..there's lots of us now and we are very rarely all in the same place. First time I've gone to a holiday work dinner since my first year at the CUPO-and I didn't have to pay this time (although if I remember correctly Ms Ginney and her husband took care of me there). Saturday night I went to the Wando Band Boosters (? or something like that--it was most of the people that helped out during marching season) party. Granted I was the youngest one there, it was still lots of fun..Russell and I wore funny hats..

Being at the end of this entry isn't supposed to detract this paragraph any way..but I want to Congratulate Rachael for both her second graduation from Clemson (this time with a masters) and also for her new position at Glasgow Caledonian University (yes, that's in Glasgow, which is indeed in Scotland). Looks like I finally have to get around to getting a passport..there's a couple people I'll need to see in Europe in the next year or so.
