My Ride In
Only an 50 minutes to Lost. Followed by Alias. Which means I only have that much time to write an entry about something..otherwise it'll be 10 o'clock before I finish the post.
Today was yet another day where I didn't do much exciting. I left late for work..again. Normally I am able to make up the time and tend to get to work just in the nick of time (not that being there on time seems to matter all that much.) Today was a bit different. The fog this morning was very dense. Visibility ranged from probably 30-50 feet until I was through downtown. Going up the old span of the Cooper River Bridge was cool. All I could see of the other two bridges were a few faint street lamps. Needless to say, this didn't help my being late issue much.
I know this is sad, but I have figured out where and when I need to be on my journey in order to make it on time. Hey, I got nothing better to think about for an hour a day, while singing along with Jem, Gwen, and Adam. Man, I need to appropriate some new CD's for the car (which reminds me I have to use Jonathan's unwitting suggestion of the Buckwheat Boys for my Annoying as Crap CD). So anyways, when I made it to the half way point, I was still running about 15 minutes behind where I needed to be. This being my last chance for gas which I need, I decide to get it tomorrow, when I will undoubtedly be late again. Then, on the winding two lane roads, I get stuck behind the person who thinks they can't go over the speed limit.
Now, the problem with winding two lane roads on a foggy day after a couple days of rain is that it's slightly difficult and possibly a wee bit dangerous to pass. Especially when you know that as soon as you risk life, limb and your car to pass them, they are going to turn off at the next road. Of course if you don't pass them, they'll just keep on driving. It's a conspiracy.
So I finally made it to work, only about 5 minutes late (I said it was difficult and dangerous..not that I didn't do it.) I still beat the boss by about 25 minutes, so I don't feel too bad.
Time to prepare for my night of 'live' television.

Jem? As in pink hair, "truly outrageous" Jem? Jem and the Holograms facing off against the Misfits each weekday morning on USA's Cartoon Express, that Jem? Now THAT'S truly truly truley outrageous. I've got another one for you, Gary Brolsma lip syncing Dragostea Din Tei by Haiducii... rather addictive.
