Oops
Today's work day was cut a wee bit short today due to a single, 16 foot long piece of 1X4 glorified cardboard..err I mean MDF. I went to adjust the saw this afternoon and the MDF that I was planning to cut slid off of the cut station and took out the regulator on the compressor. The double tank compressor quickly let out all of the air and the day was done. Oops. It's pretty sad when the breakdown of one little tool can stop five people from working. This isn't the first time this has happened..the last time, however, the solution was much closer. Being in Seabrook it would take at least a 30 minute drive to buy the part we needed. Up until the end of last week we actually had a spare compressor with us.

The real irony is that technology has evolved so far and is still so vulerable. I doubt that the Pennsylvania Dutch face such tragedy in the Barn Raisings! But then if the regulator on their hammer breaks, they can go make Birch Beer.

Don't let the computer go down, or worse yet run out of little yellow stickies.
