Someone Needs to Keep the MPAA at Bay

Why does the Motion Pictures Association of America have to go after tv shows too? I can understand movies. I can understand music (by the RIAA.) I can even understand shows on pay channels. I just don't get why television shows that are broadcast over the airwaves for free are a a big deal. I really don't see much of a difference between downloading tv shows and recording them on some sort of PVR.

Getting off the soap box, this weekend wasn't too bad. I probably watched way too many movies, but I enjoyed it so it's all good. While walking to the aquarium this morning I saw five river otters in the Cooper River. I know they tend to hang out in the area, but I've never actually seen them there. I believe that's only the second group of otters I've ever seen. I didn't realize they hung out in such big groups.
