I'm Melting!
I'm very happy that there was no heat advisory today. It's actually been a couple degrees cooler outside than it has been inside. It's currently 92.9 degrees on top of my desk..which is unfortunatley fairly normal. The rest of the house is the same however. That's quite abnormal. Things in this house like to break. The AC went down sometime yesterday..which is a bad thing to happen in the Charleston summer. Hopefully it will be fixed relatively soon. The repairman stopped by this afternoon to check it out. It needed time to cool down and he had to go get the replacement part so he'll hopefully be back soon. I don't envy his job. There is no rest for the man that fixes air conditioners.

I used to think that A/C repair would be a great job. You're always where it's cool! Only, that's the problem. As soon as it gets cool you have to leave and go somewhere else (usually outside or under a house) where the A/C is broken. My short stint in A/C repair was in an apartment complex with a bunch of college freshmen who had never lived away from home. They just didn't understand why the unit froze up like a block of solid ice when they turned it down to 40 trying to make it cooler faster.
