Winter?
What happened to winter? It's mid-January and it was in the upper 70's here today. I don't need to see snow, but I wouldn't mind it if the temperature would drop another 20-30 degrees for a couple weeks.
My green screen arrived this afternoon so I made a trip to Lowes tonight for pvc to make a stand. I spent about $10 on the pvc and it seems to work quite well. I may go spend another $5 just to make it a bit more sturdy. That plus a couple more lights and I may be ready to start filming something. I've actually done pretty well money wise with everything I've bought, and most of the stuff is dual purpose so if and when I give up on the video thing it can be used elsewhere (except the green screen).
I did a test photo with the green screen and was easily able to put Sven in Scotland. I know he belongs in Denmark, but I haven't been there to take pictures. Tomorrow I'll try video to see how (if) it works.

What software are you planning to use to replace the green in your video?

Okay, I'll bite . Did you have any sleeping bag trauma? (from previous entry's comments)

I don't think I had any trauma. I was trying it out in the hall however and realized that I would never be able to get to my phone in time if it rang. I had my mother check it out later and entertainingly while she was in it her phone did ring. It's a bit of a struggle to get out of it quickly.

There may have been a moment when he was demonstrating how if it was REALLY cold you could close the opening for your head almost all the way, and I may have had a little trouble helping him get out... I wish I had a camera!
