There Is No....Friction

Yikes! Nine out of my last ten entries have been either trivia or pictures. Perhaps I should come up with something to say.

So I can be cool and feel that I'm part of the blogosphere for the day, I'll mention the RocketBoom drama which seems to have taken hold of the blog/vlog-osphere for the past week. If you haven't heard about it, you probably have a life. It's been the #2 searched term on Technorati (go there for info on the feud) for most of the past week. First I'll say that I watch RocketBoom every day mostly because it's only 3 minutes and often has some entertaining /'educational' content that I don't want to seek out for myself. That said, I'm not a fan of Andrew Baron (the guy that started it) from what little I've seen/heard of him and I don't really have a strong opinion about Amanda Congdon (the original host). Sometimes she's great, other times not so much.

Today the show launched version 2.0 (I'm getting tired of version numbers for everything) with a new 'interim' host, Joanne Colan (who's actually got some experience, btw). Like many things in RB's history the episode was plagued by lateness (still waiting for the promised results of the t-shirt contest, for example). The show came out 2 days and about 4 hours late..which was great fuel for all the blogs out there. The new episode had a good beginning and end..but the content in the middle didn't do anything for me (much like many older episodes of RB). The one thing that disappointed me most with the 2.0 launch was that it wasn't very different sans the new host. But..The great thing about the show is that tomorrow is a new day and there's no telling what they'll do. JoCo needs to read some news.

For another daily [tech] news fix, visit MoBuzzTV, which makes me wish all the daily vlogs would move to Europe so they can be ready to watch when I get out of bed..of course then I might be late for work. Now we have an American hosting a popular European vlog, and a European hosting a popular US vlog. hmm..

The Internet didn't work most of Friday, so I'm a little late. This is the new bridge with some remnants of the old in the background. Picture taken Feb 19, 2006.
