A Good Day to Own A Jeep
It would also be a good day to own some rain pants. It's been raining constantly for some time now. This morning I had to go downtown. About the same time as high tide. I'd have to say I enjoyed myself. I got to drive my Jeep through several puddles pushing at least a couple feet deep. The only problem with this morning was that because it was a holiday, the gate that I usually walk through was still locked. This meant I had to walk on the road, which was a foot and a half under water in parts. I guess I could have used some waders as well. The gate was open on the trip back, so I didn't have to walk through the puddle again. Approaching the Cooper River Bridge on the way back to Mount Pleasant was the biggest puddle with two cars apparently stalled out on the other side with their barefoot owners standing next to them. I kind of got a nasty glare from one of the drivers as I drove right through the puddle and passed him. :)
